I have this habit of neglecting my work during art in favour of painting flowers on peoples arms, particularly if they seem to be upset or having a bad day, and I get the feeling that this is a thing that Jehan would definitely do if he were in high school.  So have some High School AU Jehan painting on a downcast Grantaire to cheer him up.

Okay everyone, so here is where a start my art blog to keep my drawings in place. Anything before this post is old art of varying styles as I experiment over the course of two years. As you can probably see by the art from here on in, I have improved a lot since I was thirteen.

thewoppet: I’ve decided I’m going to try to start doing regular portraits to practice faces and expressions and give myself roughly an hour to do each one.  And as I’m sure you’ve noticed I am in a very Les Mis mood today, and I wanted to try a haggard expression, so I drew prisoner 24601 Valjean (I still can’t believe this is the same Valjean as in the rest of the movie.)  Reference Used was this:  Actor is Hugh Jackman Time spent was 1 hour 10 mins  A not so old character study

thewoppet: I got bored with drawing proper pictures so I doodled a genderbent Equius and Gamzee.  I’ll probably genderbend the rest of the trolls at some point and draw them properly so keep an eye out for that.  (I have this headcannon that troll hair is IMPOSSIBLE to tame, but Equius made a hair bauble STRONG enough to hold it. Also Gamzee wears a floor length skirt because they are comfortable as hell and you just know she would dig the hell out of it.)

Anyway, the painting is done on A3 paper and was painted using only black and white paint and a lot of water.  Tommorrow I get to do a colour version of it! reblogging even more old art
